hi shad71,

HiCON Integra supports Mach4 sync outputs M62/M63.  Sorry no support for Mach3 M10/M11.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: "unable to ARM drive (code=355)"

Hello,

Looks like we were able to resolve the issue over the phone by providing the necessary system activation. The unit accidentally lost the "Arm Enable" activation during a firmware program with an older incompatible firmware version.

We'll look into that more, but firmware 3.46 is the good firmware version for your unit.

Hi Steve,

Referring to your question, you only need to connect the +SP/+DR or -SP/-DR for single ended connection. Do not connect the step or dir outputs to power pins(0v,5v).

Hello Steve,

Yes, the step-direction outputs on the Integra are 5V/TTL.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Disable Dereferences my axis

Hello,

There is a setting for each motor in the plugin config (somewhere to the upper right of the window) with a checkbox to dereference an axis on disarm, or not.

Make sure you power the probe with the 5Volts available on J11.

Hello Steve,

For a 5 Volts probe, you can use pin12 on J10 of the Integra as this is a TTL Digital Input.

Make sure you power the probe with the 5Volts available on J11.

Hello Steve,

I would recommend starting with this profile.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Connecting MPG's

There are built in resisters on J6 and J10.  so you may not need external 3.3K.  try a lower value or no resister if 3.3k is giving trouble.

Please keep in mind, these pins are going directly to the FPGA which is a 3.3v device.  so any static discharge through these encoder pins may damage the unit beyond repair.  So need extra precaution when working with these pins.  Also use a shielded cable for mpg and tie the shield to 0v at one point.  the MPG06 on our website is a good setup for J10.

Rufi

Hello Steve,

Yeah, you can connect to the the J10 port. You would have to use a DB15 plug to access the connections though. The pin out can be found on the HiCON Integra user manual.

And yes, it looks like the encoder you're using is single-ended.
