HiCON Motion Controller / Re: "unable to ARM drive (code=355)"

you can use other screens.  All the config is in the porfile ini file.  we renamed the screen so it does not overwrite any new screen from machSupport.  We used to have some updates in the screeen scripts some months, but now the default screen is in pretty good shape.

we still like you, if you are our customer ;)

Franco,

I recommend you download the latest Mach4 HiCON Plugin (2.01.63) and Integra Firmware (3.54) from our website.

Franco,

The settings you entered in the Plugin are correct. Make the following changes on each motor tab:

1. Feedback Source: Undefined
2. Reasonable Feedback Max Following Error: 1000

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Backlash copensation issues
« on: May 05, 2017, 04:58:54 PM »
We tested using 0.01, 0.001 and 0.0001 backlash compensation and it is being applied properly. We used jog, MDI and g-code. The test was performed using plugin version 2.01.54, Mach4 build 3365 and Integra firmware 3.51.

without closed-loop activation the encoders 3 thru 8 wont work.  Encoder 0, 1, and 2 are always operational.  you will need the activation to be able to use them for closed-loop control.

For 7737, you can still use it to command motion to the drives without the encoder feedback.  you don't need the closed-loop activation to send the pulse train to the drives.  The signals available on RJ45 are drive enable, drive alarm, step+/-, Dir+/-, 5v, Gnd, 24v.

Are you using Mach3 or Mach4?

Do you see Integra in the vsiDeviceManager network scan?

you can call the office at 9:30am AZ time weekdays and we can do a remote login.

If you are using Mach4, email a screen capture of diagnostic > vital > hicon status window to the support email address.

Try rebooting your PC and cycle power to the controller. If that doesn't solve the issue we can remote login using Team Viewer and do some troubleshooting.

We have updated the website and now the sample profile is in .m4prof format. It is available in the download area:

www.vsys.co/integra#downloads

After you download the file run Mach4 (C:\Mach4-Hobby\Mach4GUI.exe) and click Import Profile and browse to the downloaded file (Mill3Axis-Integra.m4prof).
