Just a thought but do you happen to have a counter balance such as a set of springs on your Z axis that are over sized and causing it to creep?

Check you turned the soft limits on, toggle button on the settings page if you don't have one on the run screen

I use the G28 home locations on the homing/limits page as poppabear mentioned then put the following code to go home button
Code"G28"
While IsMoving
Wend
DoButton(7)

you could also add it to the ref all home button as Greg suggested and do it all with one click

Wayne, click on edit button scipt and selet the auto tool button while flashing, the editor will open then edit the line G0 Z2 to G0 ? whatever height you need.
how much are you off after running a zero routine to your material. You shouldn't need the - in front of your plate thickness for that routine.

Edmond, I suspect you have noise. Check all your connections and install direct grounding.
Went through that after moving the machine some time back, lost the ground connection on the dust hose, everytime we turned the dust collector on the router would happily travel down the x-axis one click at a time.......on its own.
