Well, I can't find the "Edit button script" in the pulldown menu while in or out of the wizard screen. I think the lathe setup doesen't have it for some reason, or I can't find it, either way. Any ideas? Version of Mach is 1.84.002 for lathe.

Ahh, that makes sense, thanks Fernando!

Brian, the lathe turn wizards seem to be a bit confusing to me, I can't find which files to edit, I found one , I think it was a 1076 file, and found the code in it, changed it but it didn't do it.  In the basic turn wizards, where will I find the files, and is there a different file for each wizard? I just got my lathe back up and running again, been down for awhile as I have been busy with other stuff. Thanks, Dave.

I like the Mach Silverblue screen myself, one of the series that Mr Beano and company made about 8 months ago. No bugs in it that I have found, very pleasant to use. I would like the cycle start button to be larger as I use a touchscreen, but that's about it. Now if Mach just had a DXF roughing cycle, or some kind of profile roughing cycle like the mill software has, it would have everything! I can't get the one touch reference button to work for some reason, I just do the two referencing processes seperately. Hard for me to compare any of Mach's mill features as I have never used it, only the lathe setup.

I read all the posts in here and not once did I see the voltage mentioned you are running. Amps is one thing, but voltage is what a stepper needs. Measure what voltage is actually at the Geckos, I'm betting it's under 30V. You really need over 50V if you want any real speed, and your machine has sticky ways and does not have ballscrews. The buzzing sound is the steppers stalling for sure.

Is it a mill or lathe you have? If it's a mill, don't use the turn wizards, if it's a lathe, you should be using Mach3 turn.

You might try increasing the acceleration distance a bit, this might help blend the decell/ accell and you could then use exact stop.

Thanks Brian, I'll give it a try.

Using Mach3 184.001 on my lathe. I run the wizards for canned cycles, these are great BTW, but I would like to change the initialzation string in the first line it comes up with when you post the code out. Brian or anyone, any ideas on how to do this, if at all possible? Thanks.
Dave.

So, if I read that correctly, tangential control will cut arcs, and not lift and cut them as small straight lines?
