Hello, tc,

The manual explains this better than I could. It's on page 3-5 of the "Using Mach 3 Mill" manual. Under the Heading 3.3 "Jogging"

Basically you can set it up so that you can move any distance you want using the Jog control in the increment/step setting.

Hi, Steve,

That particular brand was Gravoply (made by Gravograph) but I have since moved away from them to Rowmark and IPI as Gravograph has been doing some pretty crappy things to their (good) customers like changing material types without notifying the customers in any way. In other words, they used to send me certain materials and when I needed to order more, they would then send new materials (by ordering the same part number) that didn't look, or even cut like the original material. On top of that, if you didn't want the new material, you could send it back on YOUR cost. Not the kind of company I will deal with so I've moved on.

Hope that helps-
Dave

Hi Sabastion,

Welcome to the forum.

I know the feeling - some mornings I wake up Grumpy, other mornings I let her have a lie-in.

Tweakie.

Lol...wincnc is hardware and software based, forget that.

came back here and finally figured it out...you can click on mach3 / lazycam all day and nothing will happen but page re-loading. You have to scroll down to where it says locked and click on that for it to start downloading...this really needs to be addressed.

If thats the worst problem I will be happy

Hi Sebastion,

You were clicking on this link in between the arrows? (Click on the Thumbnail picture below to make it larger)

Ohhhh, is that the newest form of Mach (4?)?

Is that why I see characters in the window and the background is different colors?

Thanks,
Dave

Good to see you back at it and feeling better, my friend  :)

Control panel looks fantastic.

What's the light blue (upper right) area on your touchscreen represent?

No sir, pentium 4 is only single core. It's definitely the Mach 3 version that is making the difference, as the macros run perfectly when using the latest lockdown. I really don't think it's the PC at all.

Thanks again,
Dave

If it is just one axis, try changinging the cables with one of the other axis, do an "air cut" a few times, and see if the X still does it. If it doesn't, it could be a wiring flaw.

I had this happen when building a system and it turned out it was 2 of the direction wires slightly touching each other.
