Show"N"Tell ( What you have made with your CNC machine.) / Vinyl Cutting
« on: August 12, 2012, 12:03:12 PM »
Ok, so I've been wanting to do this for awhile and finally got around to it. Thanks to Tweakie and Greolt for their help as I've watched and learned about this through both of them. I used a Roland vinyl cutter/plotter using Greolts method and it's working great. Needless to say, there's some learning on how to set up the cutting process, but it's really simpler than I first imagined.

A few examples of things I've made for myself and friends as well. I'm also including a short video for your amusement......lol!

Thanks again, all-

Must admit I think the same, maybe its because I have bigger machines but even a wee one can do serious damage to flesh.

Indeed, but when a machine starts eating itself, I'm sure that's no fun to watch either, lol!  ;D

This is why it scares the heck out of me when folks use wireless devices like pendants, keyboards, mice etc.

I know they obviously work for some, but I don't mind the cable enough to play research and development  ;)

I would ask this question in the appropriate plug-ins forum as you'll get a better response from the builders over there.  ;)

Really nice job there, Peter, may I ask what the little LCD is on the lower side?

And may I also ask what keyboard that is?

Thanks for sharing,
Dave

I love the "pride" you put into your work JH.

It's funny how I'm thinking to myself, "hell, I'd be glad just to be making parts on this monster, lol!"

Always enjoy seeing your work-

lol, you beat me again! Here's a video that may help you set up the jog speed as you might like it:

Agreed, if you're going to change the jogging rate in Mach 3, I believe that changes the shuttle speed as well.

I don't think there's a way to program the dials at all either.
