Dave: thanks for the generous offer, much appreciated. I can reimburse postage if you wish, just include a return address.

No worries, Dave, just glad you can use it -  :)

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately I only have one and I was going to just send it to you but if you're looking for more, I haven't a clue where to get them. I have a bunch of older connectors/adapters but only one of these, sorry.

If you want this particular one, it's yours, just message me your address and it's on its way-   :)

Hi Dave,

You need something like this?

The power drawbar is all air , uses the original valve off the back of a $10  3/8 impact wrench used to turn the drwbar . there are a couple of air cylinders that drive the unit down on the drawbar . I would be happy to share the drawings for this one but I sell the unit in Kit form for a reasonable price. If you studdy the pics its not hard to duplicate.

That's what I thought it looked like but what a very nice professional job you did.

When I decide to make one, you'll be hearing from me -  ;)

And still.. I'm VERY confused about setting up tool offsets. I have a simple piece.. a circle with smaller circles cut into it. OBVIOUSLY the tool must travel the OUTSIDE of the bigger circle, but INSIDE the smaller circles... this simple task seems all but impossible. DO I have to create my CAD drawings compensating for the tools myself? If I want a one inch circle, do I have draw a 3/4 circle to compensate for the tool? That doesn't seem right!

Unfortunately you do have to purchase LazyCam to use Offsets and pocketing so you are correct in saying that you can not try out those features until you purchase the license for it. If you did indeed watch the videos, it's no wonder you're a bit confused on how they work because they don't with the free version. I can assure you though that it does work but keep in mind this is still a BETA program with not a lot of "written" instruction so it may not be for you.

Unfortunately CAM programs do cost money and sometimes quite a lot of money but for the time they save, they can ne worth it to some depending on what's being fabricated. To give you some comfort in LazyCam, I was in the same boat as you about 6 months ago and had no idea what I was doing with any of this software, especially learning any CAM program, but I'm easily making parts now from all the help from the fine folks here. Maybe do some searches in the LazyCam forum about the questions you're having as I assure you that they've bveen asked before -  ;)

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: Cut Order

Absolutely, you should watch the videos here:

http://www.machsupport.com/videos/

While it might not look exactly the same version as yours (because LCam is has been upgraded since then), the theory is the same. The one you'll want to watch is Introduction to LazyCam and the time he starts talking about the order of cuts is around 6:41

Hope that helps-  :)

That is just fantastic work, my friend. Just fantastic-  :)

The power draw bar is completely air driven, yes?

I'm actually interested in this as well as I'm going to be using the same controller on my little taig "cnc" lathe. Peter, how would the wiring be setup with the DC-06? I have a diagram for you.

Thanks as always, Rich  ;)

And yes, you're quite right, Tim, but you knew that already, didn't you -  ;)
