Not sure why you aren't using what you paid for in their customer support. That is part of the high price for this software and I would certainly be taking advantage of that.

I'll let you choose how you want to handle it.

Well if it's that simple then they should have no problem supplying you with a post processor as I'm sure they have one set up for Mach 3?

Have you asked them?

Just to add since you mentioned you'd hate to lose all your settings, I would personally just make a copy the whole Mach 3 folder and paste it somewhere safe, just in case you mess it up somehow.  ;)

Vik,

Unfortunately you'll have to contact SheetCam about a proper post processor for your particular machine to work with Mach 3.

Hello, Dirk,

MasterCam themselves are the ones to ask, as it's the software companies responsibility to provide you with a proper post processor for their CAM program, and any other info for your specific machine.

That's why they get the big bucks!  ;)

Hi Terry,

For some of us who aren't entirely sure what each probing routine picture shows, maybe a brief description of each would help sort out what you already have in mind, and possibly what someone else may need/want?

I love the effect of the "scrimshaw" look that you get with that. I'm imagining the old oriental carvings or the scenes that sailors on ships would do on ivory teeth/tusks.

Interesting technique indeed!

So the question one may ask...
Just what is incorrect or not current and have that summary posted along with the manual.
Also a link addressing the issue would be helpfull.

Is the above worth the effort?
RICH

Good question, Rich, I think the only way to do that now is to start making notes starting now. Unfortunately I'm not sure the effort would be worth it with the new version coming out.

Now a person could have there own manual and make corrections in it (according to their own needs) but that obviously wouldn't be universal for everyone. Not only that, but as that same persons needs change, such as changing versions, their own manual has now become "wrong" and will need updated once again.

It's a nightmare, lol!
