I've tried that before as well and it doesn't seem to work on all systems   :-\

I have found that I can not pocket either of your angled chains though so you're not completely crazy.

Maybe someone else can chime in here?

I have to be honest, I do not use Lcam anymore, just too flaky and couldn't deal with it .....  :D

Sage,

sometimesyou have to move the arrow that is on the chain, around to a different spot.

Why this works, I have no idea but it does. Also, zooming in on each pocket helps as well.

I have red brown and blue showing for the X and green and yellow showing for the Z.

When you flip the view, they're the same colors.

EDIT: you see my rulers on both sides as well.

miniature world of turning you will actually use a point tool and that tool will not look like any conventional tool.
Maybe a better way of saying it "you got the  gcode......the tool is up to you".

I think that this is a great point and should at least be considered.

If Art can do it without losing his mind (!), then great, but if it's going to kill things, I don't see it as a deal breaker either.

Thanks again for all you do, fellas.  :)

Possibly you could ask in the VB area of the forum?

Maybe you could even download the information to make this plug-in yourself from the Mach 3 Downloads page?

Good luck-  :)

Actually from what I have found, Jim, you're not doing anything wrong at all, it's a weird occurance in Screen 4.

I have had things like this happen and sometimes they don't and I always use the same screen size so it's not a pixel issue.

Possibly someone else will have some info for you.

I just grin and bear it as it's a free program and works fairly well and is a godsend at times-  ;D
