Hi Andrey,

You'll need to go into: config/ config plugins/ then clck the yellow shaded area labeled config in the shuttle Pro Plug-in area. Then the shuttle Pro picture should come up with drop down menus, allowing you to configure your shuttle pro.

Just use one of the OEM buttons and put "323" in there and that should do it for you.

Hope this helps-
Dave

Hi Art,

Thanks for the update and I'm looking at it now. One quick thing, when running the "SIM" of the finish pass, it seems to run the last pass (the final pass) first?

When I blow up the view, I can see when running the sim, that the cutter is closest to the part on the first pass, and then moves away from the part to the second before that last pass, and so on. We're not able to post code yet so I couldn't check to see if it really was doing that, and thought I should mention it.

Hope that makes sense, and if it's not an issue, just ignore me..  ;D

Thanks,
Dave

I'll just venture a guess till Dave gets back to ya.
Hope ya don't mind Dave,
Russ :)

It would toggle M8 ON and Off.

Thanks for jumping in, my friend  ;)

That is correct, I have that set up just as Russ shows above for "flood" coolant, although mine is actually set up for a relay to drive my "flood-air" to clear chips and cool the cutter ;)

Thanks,
Dave

General Mach Discussion / Re: Coupler question Motor Lead Screw
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:20:10 AM »
Just to add a little more info here, Phil is correct, if you don't get the proper helical couplers for YOUR specific needs, it will not hold up, but that really should go without saying as you must choose any coupler for your specific application. It's not a "one size fits all" kind of thing.

I do also like Bowbers idea of "oldham" type couplers as well as those are great too. Again, though, you have to figure out what your specific needs are.

When ordering any coupler, they give you the specs of the particular coupler that you need, such as torque rating and misalignment data as well.

Hope that helps a bit more.

Norm, if you have the type in the pic I'm showing (top pic), those are too stiff unless you have PERFECT alignment of your leadscrew and motor shaft, which is pretty rare. When using rigid couplers, if they do not line up, the screws will just loosen more and more and create problems. This is why you need flexible couplings (lower pic) that allow for some mis-alignment of the shafts.

Hope this helps-
Dave

And yet another work of "Art"  ;D

Sorry, I realize that one's been beaten to death but I bet Art never gets tired of hearing/reading it.

Thanks, Art, it looks fantastic-

Looks like you're doing a great job Chris, I'm hoping to set up some gang tooling on my little Taig lathe in the future.

Thanks for sharing-
