So true, I have a tiny little Taig CNC mill that was throwing chips/dust everywhere so I ended up building a nice little enclosure for it.

Of course, in your case, your building that you're in IS your enclosure for that beast!  :D

Excellent machine...

What a beast! Fun to watch and thanks for sharing.

Now you just need a very large dust collector -  ;)

Thanks,

Mach Screens / Re: 7" Touch screen?

Excellent, Rich, love the cart, but mine would have to be enclosed as I do a lot of buffing and polishing and the fine dust can get everywhere (I cover the machines when not in use as well.)

As for switching, I'm using a parallel port switch and I just run different Profiles of Mach 3 for the different machines and applications.

As for you not being able to run one machine, HAH! I've seen what you can do, my friend-  ;)

Thanks so much for the input, I may just end up doing this way, just getting all the options in one basket to mull over.

Hi,

Is this REV 5.504? (check the help on the menu of VCarve and the click "About VCarve Pro")

If I'm not mistaken, VCarve Pro trial will not let you generate any files except their own sample files. Is this one of their sample files you're trying to cut?

If you like, post the the CRV file and GCode, I can look at it for you but name it something weird like crazydiamond2112vcarvefile

Wow, old thread!  8)

I will say this, I do small work in aluminum, plastics, etc. and backlash is working correctly in Rev 3.041

I know most say it's not good to use, but I have about .002-.003 backlash on my taig mill and it works perfectly as when engraving tiny little text, (under .100") you can easily see a difference when it's on and when it's off.

I get this every great once in awhile, but definitely not a lot.
