Hey TP,
Does your set of mcodes work out the 0,0 point at the corner of a tilted part by probing two locations on x edge and 2 on y edge?

Hello Brian,
I was trying to make something like what you described on this thread, but instead probe 2 places on the x side, and 2 places on the y side.
The 2 places on the x side would help determine the angle of rotation for the G68, just by using trigonometry.

The 2 places on the y side will help determine the slope for a second curve, if you make the equation for the first curve equal to the equation of the second curve, you should be able to find an intersection of the two curves which should be the very corner of the stock.
My question is, how would you solve that equation in VB?

I think this would be a great addition to Mach!
Does G68 work in Quantum?

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Programing coutertop drainboard
« on: June 12, 2007, 03:23:36 PM »
Hello Group,
I dont know if you have seen the routed drainboards that Solid surface (Corian) countertops can have. They are a simple routed design right next to the Kitchen sink, and it is sloped, it starts shallow on the far side of the sink, and it starts getting deeper as it gets closer to the sink. They are mostly done manually with a template a router, and they set the template on a base that is sloped.
How would you go about designing (CAD, CAM) this kind of cut using a flat endmill?

Heres a site that sells the template system

Hey benny,
I think i know what might be going on with the read and unread posts.
When you fisrt fo to the www.machsupport.com page and you navigate your way to the official online forum, it directs you to the following page:
http://artsoftcontrols.com/forum/index.php
and the unread flags are not working
if you immediately click on the home button at the forums, it takes you to the following address:
http://www.artsoftcontrols.com/forum/index.php
Which now shows the unread tags.

I guess you could just edit the link insted of it taking you to the one that does not have the WWW, just change it to the one that has the WWW.

VB and the development of wizards / Re: Macros, Reading of.

Hey,
you can use the VB editor that is built in mach 3.

Open Mach 3
Go to operator menu at the top, and select VB Script Editor.

Now you can open script files.
Hope that helps

Great work patrick.
Is the underside beveled too? or was it just machined from one side?

Hey benny,
I posted a thread on the tangent corner section. It was deleted. I guess it was because of the server change... or maybe I did something wrong!
Also, when i loged in i put to have me always logged.
Now if i go to the main forum page, it says i am a guest, but i just go into any section, and it shows me as logged in. weird.

Just thought you might like to know. its not a real problem though.
Regards
Fernando
