That's not a half bad idea.

It does kinda look like it, Brett, but it says "Jack Daniels", not "kool-aid" :)

Yes, I anodized it myself. Thanks for the compliment. I'm afraid the scope of the process goes beyond a simple quick answer. I can refer you to a website that might answer any questions you have, if your really interested. http://caswellplating.com/ . Although I have not used their kits, they do have a free forum with people eager to answer questions and help out.

Thanks Tweakie. Had to anodize it just for the heck of it.

That's pretty slick. Never thought about making one. Good job!

Upon a better look at your file, and a quick load into Mach, it appears that you don't have corners in the code. They are indeed rounded. There is a possibility that you are not zoomed in close enough to actually see they are rounded in your cad program. Another thing that I notice is that your arcs are really only a huge amount of tiny lines. This is a common mistake made. You should do a bit of investigating and find out what you need to do in your software to output arcs. That particular part could have been made with less that 20 or so lines of code, and the motion from the machine would be soooo much smoother. Sorry for sending you off to read about something that wasn't your problem in the first place, however, it is a very informative piece that everybody should know about.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Tool probe strange behavior.

O.K. guys....chill out and have a beer. We don't want bullets flying and somebody getting killed. I suppose everybody has their own way of doing things. I did, however, want to make sure the problem was not just on my end before it's reported as a bug, but hey..that's just me. Anyhow....Tweak, I tried your code and same problem.

Of course, I'm also totally baffled by the whole concept of probing at 75IPM.
Hey, that's what I'm here for. To baffle and amaze. Or maybe just baffle. I'm actually probing at 4ipm, but if the Z axis is taking X axis accel settings, it probably does need to be brought up. If nobody but me can reproduce the problem, then it's obvious that I have superpowers, and I can break an anvil with a feather.
