More progress. Finished the Z motor mount, counterweight sprocket attachment, and motor spacer. I intended to anodize the spacer, but in my haste to get the ano tank set up in a freezing shop, something went wrong and the part came out bad, so that's a bummer. Oh well, I'll take function over fashion any day of the week.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Normal Condition Button
« on: February 06, 2010, 11:09:49 AM »
When you first load Mach, the abnormal condition it is referring to is that you haven't homed the machine. (this is assuming you previously clicked the "set normal condition" after homing.)  Just home it out and it should turn green by itself.

If you click "set normal condition" before you home the machine, then a homed machine would be abnormal. The reason why you keep going in circles is because you keep changing the normal parameters from "normal is homed" to "normal is not homed"

Thanks Tweakie. Here's the router... http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,6139.0.html

Not really a top quality build, but it works pretty well. Ignore the cheap chair wheels. They were only for painting, then replaced with a good set of casters.

Parker valves too eh? That's dedication. They should give you a raise.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Fine Saw dust

I would definitely agree that the first line of defense should be an adequate dust collection system (for your electronics, AND more importantly your health). However, I wouldn't discount the additional benefit of a filter for the enclosure, either. Like Rich stated, cut up a household AC filter, or make a holder for a square/rectangle pleated automotive filter.

That's just way to cool. Great job as usual, and welcome back!
