I was testing out a design today and thought I would share. It's made in beaver puke.

Just seems strange as to why the word "mach" is not added to the dictionary here. Always comes up as a spelling error. Dunno if this particular board lets you add words to the dictionary, but some do.

I get these errors every time I start to run a program. This problem just recently started rearing its ugly head (a month or so ago). I can't recall the version that I updated to when it started. I'm using 3.039 now. Same errors with the previous version, too. I get no errors on my other computer thats not running a machine. Needless to say it does not have the drivers installed, only the basics for simulations. It might not even be a problem with mach itself, maybe some other software or drivers conflicting with it. Who knows. Not me, thats for sure. Figured I would post it for a heads up for you VB/C++ programming junkies. Sure is irritating, to say the least. Thought I might be able to get some advise on troubleshooting a machining center thats just been sitting idle in the shop for 4 years. I have seen it run previously, and if memory serves correct, the travel limit was possibly exceeded, and the error began at that time. The error that is displayed states "Y pulsecoder disconnect". Nothing has been physically disconnected. What would give this error other than disconnecting the cable? I have not taken anything apart on the motor yet to inspect it. If the machine had hard-stopped, would a power surge cause something to go bad, and result in this error? Maybe the limit switches were not functioning, I don't know, nor do I know that the limits were in fact exceeded. The magnascale also indicates a problem with an error LED, but on the X axis. Any advise on troubleshooting this is greatly appreciated.

Not the best in the world, and it still needs some work, but it does what it's told to do. PICTURES

Mach Screens / Equivalents and tap chart
« on: February 19, 2008, 08:42:24 PM »
Here are some handy dandy charts for a custom screens tab. Not the best quality, but not the worst, either. I done a search for tap chart and decimal chart and didn't turn up anything of similarity already posted, so here are some. Surprised similar charts have not been implemented already in custom screens. Then again, I've only tried out a couple of them.
