General Mach Discussion / Re: X3 Not linked to Mach

We have progress Mach is installed, licience shows, driver test works, (only one driver) and kernnal speed is 35000Kh. When I switch on mill the reset triggers and pressing start 80 shows on machine DRO so Mach is comunicating with mill. But I can't get mill to work no jog, no spindle run, and I cant load G code or recient file. I am useing the same Syil xml as on other PC which works fine
Have I missed something in Mach.
Thanks
Mike

Started from scratch unloaded Mach and reinstalled with origional copy of Mach, then copied over licience and rebooted. Mach is installed and driver test runs but pulse is only 25000KH, so I asume Mach is not seeing liciense.
Can you advise
Thanks

You were correct no driver, I found a file called Special Driver that did the trick, what would cause the driver to become uninstalled? as all has worked well for months.
Thank for your help

Trying to figure out what is wrong with computer, it seems to be Mach diagnostics screen has no pulse it says 'simulate' I am wondering if its a coruption problem. The first computer to run the mill has the origional copy of Mach and licience, I then got a lathe and copied Mach onto a CD and loaded onto 2nd computer all was well. About six months ago origional computer would not switch on, so I changed over computers all worked well. As new computers are USB Connection based I recently got hold of on older PC with parallel connection to replace stickey PC and loaded Mach using the same CD as 2nd PC,3rd computer has same problem.
Do you think the copy of Mach has a problem, or how should I load Mach onto the two PC's and xml's
Thanks

A friend has given me a PC which I would like to use as a backup to the PC that runs my mill, but new PC doesn't havea serial printer port only USB. I have looked through previous posts on USB connection but last was 2007.
Can you advise on current arrangement for connection from PC to machine via USB
Thanks
