Hey Folks,

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm trying to increase the max speed of my CNC. After increasing the kernel speed and restarting Mach3, my top speed in motor tuning settings remains constant (around 1.4 m/min). Am I missing something here?

Hey guys. Thanks in advance for your help.

A few weeks ago, I bought this spindle https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I didn't have time to set it up until just recently.

It's a 2.2 kw 220v spindle with a matching HY style vfd. I set it up on Sunday, and it worked perfectly. On Monday, I started it and it made a noise like it was starting but it did not start, and it got hot to the touch (even though coolant was flowing through it). I realized that I did not set the ground on the spindle input wiring, so I did that. Then, when I started it up again, the spindle turned slightly and then immediately I got an e.ou.a error. I looked it up and it seems like it's a voltage error, but I have no idea how to fix it.

My wiring setup can be seen below. The two wires going out from the 220v input are connected to the water pump that cools my spindle. I have not connected this VFD to my breakout board yet, though after I get it running that's definitely on the to-do list.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm really hoping that this is just an issue with my wiring and that I don't have to replace the VFD.

General Mach Discussion / Motors Not Turning But Are On

Hey guys, thanks in advance for the help. I'm pretty new to the electronics side of CNC, but I'm building a fairly large (4x8) CNC router. I'm trying to get my motors wired and working properly with Mach3 but I'm running into a problem. I'm using DQ860MA drivers, 5.6A Nema 34 motors, a C11G breakout board and an ethernet SmoothStepper.

My motors lock but do not turn when I use the hotkeys to move. I've checked the hotkeys, and the smoothstepper lights up as it should when connected. The C11g board's power appears to be on. I don't know what's going on. I've spent the better part of the last 3 days trying to figure it out. It seems that power is going to the motors, but the signals from Mach3 are not going to them.

I think the problem might be my port number. I found the ethernet port by going to device manager and filtering devices by connection. Nothing was highlighted, but I selected the only ethernet port I could see which happened to have an address of 0001. I don't know if this is the right way of doing it, and it seems to me that if my port is wrong that might be the cause of the problem. But honestly I have no idea.

Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what a potential solution might be? Thanks again for all your help.
