General Mach Discussion / Re: Something is Crazy
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:59:11 PM »
Found the problem. I had built a power supply for the 5v for breakout board. The regulator was getting hot so I mounted it to the case. It was getting noise back into the circuit.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Something is Crazy
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:52:16 AM »
I was just finished with building my power supply. I'm using gecho and servo's. I was setting up my home switches and everything was working fine. All a sudden the thing started jerking around. I have tried to set the servo adjustments and the motor tuning in mach3 nothing helps. I found if I turn the computer off or unplug the printer cable it set there just fine. My servo's make the normal singing noise.  Could someone Please Help.
Thanks Ed

Nevre thought about that. Thanks

Does anyone know how to set the processor to not fall back. That might be all we need.

Has anyone found out exactly why these new computers won't work with Mach. I noticed the pulse is about half what it should be. I know I can use the optimization tech. But that pretty weal destroys my new computer for other things.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Lost Mach3 Gecko 201
« on: April 11, 2006, 02:18:54 AM »
I just got a K2 25x14 mill it uses 201 gecko drives. The motors are 1.8 deg wired half step. I have to set the steps to 20,000 for the table to move properly. But at that high of a step the motors miss steps and I can't really adjust them to sound right. Where do I go from here.
Thanks

I found the problem I had to set step low active.
Thanks
