General Mach Discussion / Re: Improved tool path display ( see video)
« on: August 06, 2006, 05:46:41 PM »
Great screen, I'm using it now and it adds allot to the machine experience.
Thank you ;D

One quick questions and one problem:

Is it possible to add a diffrent color to the toolpath when there is multiple pass. I sometimes find my self coming back to the machine an hour later not sure which pass it's on. Not a big deal.

I have been using the new screen all of today, and loaded many diffrent toolpaths, but for some reason one of my G-code files is not refreshing in the new screen. When loading the attached g-code file and rotating the view in the screen gives me ghosting and freezes up Mach.

I have test the same file on two diffrent computers with  Mach3 Dev. Version 1.90.051 and the file work fine.

I have tested the file on two diffrent computers with Mach3 Dev. Version 1.90.071  and both have the same problem.

Can any one verify this and give me a hint at what I'm doing wronge. See attachment
-Thanks

Jackal,

Do you still have -"File, Config, View, Wizards, Operator, Help" at the top of Mach screen?

If so go to "View\Load screens" and choose the default Mach screen 1024.

It sounds like the wizard might have brought you back to an empty screen slot, not sure.

Roberto,

Ya this would be a little over kill. ;D
I've seen some work of detailed country cut out 3d with some of these maps, but for outlines you should'nt have a problem.

I'd find a map on google,
save the image,
vector trace it with corel or some free vector program.

What you want is a program that can create 3d reliefs. I don't use Autocad but I know many other programs will take gray scale and create geological features.

Here is a clunky but very use full map make program, MICRODEM to convert a Dem  into a grey scale image : http://www.usna.edu/Users/oceano/pguth/website/microdem.htm

or

or under:
Config./State/Auto resize screen
Make sure the box is check to auto resize, by default it's turned off.
I also like to have the high resolution check as well for better appearance.

Currently Vilecam is privet but possibly public in 6 months

Here are the two camera's I use that work well:
(The Sony will send and receive audio, the Linksys has only a Mic no speaker)

Sony SNC-M1-  $160.00 - $87.00

Affordable range of all-in-one network cameras that incorporate built-in web servers, network interfaces, and built-in microphones to their compact and stylish bodies. With a single camera, both video and audio monitoring can be achieved over a network to meet the demands of a wide range of applications. The cameras utilize the MPEG-4 compression format, which achieves a high compression ratio, providing smooth video and audio streaming over network environments - including those with limited bandwidth.

LINKSYS WVC54G Wireless-G Internet Video Camera- $200.00 - $137.00

Sends a high-quality live audio/video stream to your network wireless over 802.11g -- viewable from anywhere
Built-in stand-alone web server, no PC necessary
Security Mode automatically sends email alerts with video clips upon motion detection
Supports up to four simultaneous remote users
