Thanks, I can make a list of short cuts, for example if you draw out a shape you can add points (for example to make a stare) select the "polygon tool" ,by holding down the Left mouse button and hitting the arrow keys up or down.

Hey Roger, Do you think this could work with your PLT converter

Hey Roger,
I couldn't get that attachment to you but this is what I was talking about as a "CorelDraw" screen that you can use inside of Mach.

Most keyboard shortcut work just like in CorelDraw and most other drawing programs:

"Shift" will keep it proportional
"Space bar" will pan canvas

There is also tip bars that will pop up if the cursor is over an object for awhile...

-I'm adding a pen tool that will just draw...
-currently the "Freehand draw" will create anchor points...this is just like Illustrator.
-if you zoom (to unzoom hold down "Z" on the keyboard and left click or double click the zoom Icon to bring you back out to fit the drawing.it will zoom to the area your cursor is in or draw out a box to zoom to,by select zoom tool..
-left click draw out box.use join to connect to patters and the "White" arrow key icon to change "Anchor" points positioning..
and many other shortcuts.

Pressing the "Export API" or/and "Export XML" displays the code for the objects created.
API is the native Flash code for its vector points....these exported coordinates  can me formated however you like...

I'll be adding tool height, width, depth of cut est...
Alot of the code for shapes has be written by Bob adn I have modifyed it..

This is a live preview to test here on the web.

Cant get this to work any idea's

Code: [Select]
'set ticker
SetTicker 205, "sets ticker"

'set user label
SetUserLabel 12, "sets user labels"

'get user label as var pathsent
pathsent= GetUserLabel (1)

'send "getuserlabel 1" to userlable 2
SetUserLabel 2, pathsent

Nice work, I don't have SolidWorks or Coral draw but looking at the code it looks great.
Do you have a PLT file to post so I can take alook (also intrested in there formating)?.

Hey WH33LS,
Actually Mach will do more but you just want to use Mach to run your Gcode after importing it to Vectrics Cut3D and MeshCAM.
So what you would do is build the model in Maya export as a Object or 3ds or Autocad file and import it into Vectrics Cut3D and MeshCAM. You don't have to worry too much about actual size in Maya either, once you import your model you can scale it about to meet the requirements (I create simple parts that need high accuracy in side of Artcam and export back to 3d Max). After you get the model placed and scaled inside of your CAD program then you will create your Gcode to send to Mach. Decide on the tooling you'll need. Export the toolpaths as Gcode and load it in Mach. Inside of Mach you really only want to run the machine...try to do as little to no modification to the model in Mach. You really only want to change speeds and feeds.

Hey Arnie, Great screen.
I moved the topic over here for people looking for alternative screens then the ones that come default with Mach.

thanks Hood,
that will work, so you'll have to download the two zip files, exstract them and grab the contents and place them in a folder called "Iconic" in C:\Mach3\Bitmaps\Iconic
Alot more work to do not sure why I can upload the intire file as one :(

Hey M.Jonas,
Are you using Screen 4 or Flash? and which screen are you working with?

I've taken alook at  Vectrics Cut3D and MeshCAM and they both look very good...I'll have to download the demo's and try them out.

I help on the Artcam Forum if you need any post over there.

What you'll want to do is just simply import your models and create toolpaths...if there any details that need to be enhanced they have "Brush's" to carve in or smooth out details..
Another approch which has woeked out very well is to import "Alpha" images.. I've posted about it here: http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?t=3810
