Thanks Hood , Budman68  and Perfo for the compliment.

Today I discovered I'm going to have to redesign the X axis as it has almost .070 sag to the center of the table. Very disappointed, but I'm going to redo it all the same. As it stands right now all it is good for is 2D cut outs.  Will keep an update at http://www.cnchobbyrouter.com on my progress.

Thanks again for all the support. Mach support forum really is the best.

General Mach Discussion / Motors move on start up

Couldn't find a post on this. I just wired up another KL-4030 set of drivers with 35 VDC 10 amp supply and Three 425 oz inch motors. Ok the problem when i flip the switch the motors start moving and jerk a little but never change direction. I thought the motors where suppose to lock up  when power was applied. Any help on this one would be much appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / abnormal condition?

I keep getting abnormal condition when running between G91 and G90 . Nothing abnormal about it, been programming this way for years on Mazak, Gidding Lewis no problems. Also have problem with G03 sometimes I have elliptical holes off by .015 in the x axis only. I am running precision no backlash ballscrews not leadscrews. I have checked for binding and missed steps came up with nothing.

Here is my simple program for boring a hole that on occasion messes up.

  I reversed Y axis. I should have recognized it was backwards but I was just so excited I finally have everyting working correctly. Brain fart it's late.

Searched but didn't find topic.
 When I tried simple sub routine using  G03 move it actually went clockwise while it showed on screen it was going counterclockwise. Anyone know whats problem? I tried G02 in the sub routine and it moved counterclockwise while showing onscreen moving clockwise.

Yes the probotix breakout boards are compatable. You only need to hook up the step and dir to the Dir- and Step- on the logic side of the driver. The Step+ and Dir+ take +5 volts from the Breakout board. The probotix board is awesome because of the onboard LM317 which you can use your 12 volt supply that you use to poewr your cooling fan and hook up to the breakout board and the onboard regulator steps down to +5 volts and you can solder a wire to the idc +5 volt pin and supply the driver this way. Everything is marked very clearly on the board. Any of the Probotix Breakout boards will work with Geckos, Keling, or any driver that accept step and dir signals. I have purchased the Probotix unipolar stepper drives to try next.

Success !!! You will never believe this ! I checked the ground on the AC side. I could kick myself in the ass for not thinking of this first. NO GROUND.  I pulled all the receptacle  plate covers off to discover I only have one receptacle with a ground. All the others in my garage do not have a ground.

I want to thank everyone for being patient with me and seeing me through this. Mach Support is theBEST!!!
