Hi John,
Beautiful work did you use a free cad program for all these or just one free try from vectorart3d and another cad program that you purchased somewhere else?    I'm shopping for cad programs with $0.00 in the kitty for toys  :'(

  Keep up the great projects!

Hey luv2c_cnc,
Thanks for the info on the rat... I didn't even know it existed! I ran mine over a text font, and it seems to work, kind of fast, but how do you stop it once you start it?
I had to hit cont, alt,  delete, just to make the rat stop!
Just wondering where you got the info, I've read many tutorials I must have glazed over this one ;)

 Thanks, Glenn

General Mach Discussion / Lathe Object Perspective
« on: June 04, 2008, 09:43:48 PM »
  Hi All,
I used to be able to drag the mouse over the image screen of the object that Mach3 was turning, and have the image
perspective view swivel around to see the face side more than the turned side...kind of a nice feature, I liked it.
I had to download version r 2.63 because of a computer problem a few months back and just now realized  that I cannot
do this any more.
Has anyone else seen this or maybe I'm not doing something correctly? :)

When I drag the mouse up/down over the image, it still makes the object larger and smaller as it used to do.
I have also tried version r 3.041, and it is the same.
  Any ideas fellas?

 Thanks, Glenn

Hi Larry,

All is not lost, it will just take a little bit of adjusting and rearranging of a few settings and you too will be up and running smooth!
As far as saving the G-codes, go to the run program screen, select the program you want to save,  hit the edit button so the g code comes up on a notepad screen, copy everything on it by hitting the edit button, select all,  and under file,  save on your desktop, then copy it to a jump drive.
  Hope this helps a little!
Good Luck, and keep after it, cause it will all begin to come together ;)

Gentlemen,
I'm setting up my 2 axis lathe with a relay board to control spindle, dust vaccuum, and  and if (on the computers' keyboard),
"s" key is spindle {M3} (yes, this works fine), and "c" key turns on and off coolant {M8} (yes
this works fine if M3 is already on-is this normal?), then which key throws M7 manually from the keyboard?
  Thanks!

Hey Sid,
I'm running licensed version R2.63..But of course, I shut it down and ate supper (My wife
brought me a steak sandwich from the local Wild Turkey Festival), and now it works!
  I'll keep my fingers crossed!
   Thanks,
Glenn :)

Hi Panaceabeachbum,
Today I was hooking up my first spindle relay, and after several good
program run-throughs, (motor on-motor off by m3, m5), Mach 3
would run down to the m3 line, and just stop-- I could rewind
start again, but it just won't cross the m3 line and proceed on with the
rest of the program. I can hit letter "s" on keyboard to start/stop spindle
and it does work. Any ideas on what it is up to?

cnc-erly,

Glenn :)
