General Mach Discussion / Re: edge finding/2.5D probing
« on: May 31, 2010, 06:27:00 AM »
Ian ,
yes sorry it is the default mach3mill.

      this is what i'm doing,

run probectrl  enter values, press config probeing routiine, comes back you can now load gcode.

      load probe25.tap

single step to #1001=1, enter 1001 in var moniter and update, value returned 1

step to #1002=0  enter 1002 in var moniter and update, value returned 0

and so on to #1014=1 ,when i reach f#1001 the feed is entered into mach.

                                                                                      thanks mick.

yes Ian , m90000.m1s is in c:\mach3\macros\machmill

by the way should i be able to see the values set , in the gcode, because when i single step through the code
when i get to f#1001 the feed rate is loaded.but not visable in #1001=.

Ian
no the value in var 1001 is always 1 no matter what is set, the following are the var's with
    any value other than zero.

#1001=1
#1007=10
#1013=10
#1014=1

thanks mick

Hello,
after watching the vidios on youtube i installed the probing routine but can't get it to work
the problem seems to be, the variables are not loaded into the gcode, can you please tell
      me what i've done wrong.
                                       many thanks,    mick.

wa hey Hood,
you've done it again complete success !!,the feedrate dro now accepts 3 decimals
                   and feed is as displayed.

hi Hood,
no it does'nt, the dro will only accept 2 decimals. if you use the mdi screen to enter  g95 f.005
        the dro reverts to .01.
                               thanks for coming back.  mick

General Mach Discussion / g95 problem when parting off
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:47:21 PM »
hello all,
my question, is it possible to alter the feedrate dro to accept 3 decimal places.because when useing g95 with g20
the minimum feed rate per rev is .010 and this is to heavy for my small lathe.
i do use g21 sometimes in which case .05 is ok, but it does confuse my old head, and have just wrecked a part .

                                                                                              thanks mick.

Jeff,
the BOB inputs are opto-isolated,the outputs are buffered.

if i fit opto's to the output, would it be best to fit them close to the drives or close to the BOB?
                                                                                                                   thanks mick.
