Hi Scott,

I was just playing with the Lathe Flash OEM screen, and one thing I noticed is that this screen apparently does not trigger Mach3 to switch into turn mode.  The reason I say that is with .lset screens you only see the turn wizards when you select wizards.  When you have the Lathe Flash OEM screen loaded and restart Mach3 if you select wizards you get the list of Milling wizards not the turn wizards.

It seems to me that there was an OEM call mentioned a while back either here on on the Yahoo group to put Mach3 ino turn mode.

Thanks

Flash Screens / Re: New Flash Docs?
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:24:17 PM »
I am working on the Flash documentation, I have worked out a tentative schedule with Brian Barker to have them done by the end of the year.  I plan on producing a set of documents that are aimed at Mach3 Flash screens, they will not be a "how to program in Flash" tutorial, there plenty of books on Flash already.  The idea here is to provide examples of how to use flash with Mach3 to produce screens.

If any of you have examples that you think would be nice to have in the documentation, please contact me off list at j.guenther@verizon.net.

Thanks,

Ok Gerry,

It does the same thing to me  if the bit map is other than the correct size for the screen and I have the auto screen enlarge checked on the General Config screen.

As I said, may shop computer has a 640x480 10.4" LCD display and with the bitmap sized for that screen it works as you want without wasting space at the bottom when the menu's are turned off.  When the menus are on, the entire screen is moved down by the hieght of the menu line.

I can scend you a couple of pictures off line to show the results if you want them.

gerry,

What I did was add two buttons on the diagnostics page, or where ever you like, to hide or unhide the menu.  On my lathe screens they are hidden buttons right next to the reset button.  They don't show through the bitmap but they are there and they work nicely to hide or unhide the menus.  That way I can have Mach3 configured to hide the menus but when I need them I can turn them back on with a single mouse click or touch of the styles on the screen.

Hi Scott,

I now have both, I guess I will take a stab at creating the Sothink version.

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

Just out of curiosity, is there a Sothing .sqf of the lathe flash OEM screen set available?

That would be really nice for those people that might want to play but don't want to invest in Adobe Flash CS3.

Thanks, not a complaint just a question.

I just looked in the WIKI for the VB Menu Calls and did not find a thing about it.  Of course I may have missed it but I thought I did a pretty thorough search for them.

Where in the WIKI are they?

Thanks

Hi Scott,

That is nice to know, I have a 10.4" display on order with a touch panel and will be installing it in my Advantech AWS-843 industrial work station.   I will be doing a screen for use with the touch panel also.

Are you going to make your screen set available to others?

Thanks

Nice work, clean and easy to follow with nothing to distract the operators attention from the job a hand.

Looks like it might work well with a touch screen also.  Do you have that in mind?
