When I push the right cursor key the y axis move in the positive direction. I must have messed up something in my profile. My machine is mirroring everything.

Thx for any help.

General Mach Discussion / Best way to activate Torch On Relay?
« on: April 24, 2006, 10:14:06 AM »
I now have the X, Y and Z axis on my Plasma table working and drawing scorpions with Mach2. Now I need to turn the torch on. I have a Powermax 1000 hand torch and was thinking of taping into the finger switch in the handle with a 12 vdc relay. I have Bob CampBells breakout board witch has a relay connector that appears to be for a separate relay board.

Can I control these pins to activate my relay from Mach2?

Thanks for all the help.

Funny thing. Everything was working great. Drew a couple of scorpions, then the next day the program freezes right after I load the profile. If I'm very to quick to hit a reset everything will work fine, otherwise the whole computer locks up. Nothing new has been loaded.

General Mach Discussion / DXF Import Not to Scale
« on: March 31, 2006, 10:18:24 AM »
I just finished getting the X and Y axis running on my homebuilt Plasma table. I installed a pencil for a spindle for testing. I had the Cycle Jog set to 1.0000 and Jog Mode to Step and checked the motor tuning by jogging one full step and measuring the distance which was 1 inch, measured with a digital caliper within thousands. I then exported a 4 inch diameter circle from Unigraphics in DXF and imported it into Mach 2. It drew a very nice circle but it was about 1.5 inches in diameter.

The load DXF window in Mach 2 shows the max and min X and Ys to be exactly 4 inches but when I generate the gcode and look in the tool path screen in Mach2 is shows it to be about 1.5. It was mentions in another forum that it looks like inches in converted to centimeters.

Am I doing anything wrong?
