General Mach Discussion / Re: Accuracy Test
« on: November 10, 2012, 05:56:22 AM »
I have a Grizzly G0619 (Sieg SX3) and I use CamBam which I highly recommend.

After selecting a circle on the graphics screen and creating a machining "Profile" there will be a configuration table for the "Profile" on the lower left side of the screen.

In the configuration table one of the options is "Inside/Outside" which will determine whether CamBam places the tool path or the cut on the inner side of the circle's circumference or on the outer side of the circle's circumference.

The center of the tool path or cut will also be offset from the circumference of the circle by the distance of the radius of the cutter that is configured in the configuration table by its diameter.

Under sized cut circles suggest that the actual cutting tool has a smaller diameter than the cutter that is configured in the configuration table.

Yea, just ignore the primate with the automatic and remember he is an endangered species too!

Greetings,

Just another endangered zero . . .

If I tried that tactic on my forum, the membership would probably drop to zero . . .  :)

I have converted a Grizzly Go619 (Sieg) Super X3 mill to CNC using the Syil America kit and significant additional adaptation.

I purchased Mach3 with the Syil CNC conversion kit.

I have used the Write wizard more than any other aspect of Mach3 and discovered a bug in the Write wizard.

You probably don't want to hear that from a zero . . .

I have tried several CAM demos and I am having some confusion deciding on a full featured CAM program.

So perhaps, I have graduated to the ones endangered list . . .

Zeros and ones are welcome at my web site:
