I am using Chrome as my default browser and when I try to use the search function i get the following error.

2: pspell_new(): PSPELL couldn't open the dictionary. reason: No word lists can be found for the language "en".
File: /var/www/vhosts/machsupport.com/forum.machsupport.com/forum/Sources/Search.php
Line: 700

I am aware that this is probably not a forum issue but an issue with my setup.  Obviously I can't use the search function to check if this has  been mentioned before so I apologise if I am repeating a Post.

If anyone can give me any pointers as to where to look for a solution I would be grateful.

Many thanks

Sorry, Sods Law, Just spotted a similar post answered by Tweakie, the problem is still around.

Hi,

May I suggest, as an experiment, run a second wire from the toolholder of your spindle to earth. Then try probing again. Until you can
get Mach to recognize when the tool touches the plate then all bets are off.

Craig

Now why didn't I think of that, it worked a treat. I think it was a case of me looking for a difficult solution when the simple answer was staring me in the face,

Many thanks

Hi everyone,
My question is a simple one , I used to zero the Z axis using the probe go to zero feature,  before each zeroing I did a check to make sure that the green digitize light came on when I touched the bit. I have fitted a virtualy identical spindle and now when I do the green digitize test the light does not come on.  I have not changed any of the settings. Has anyone had a similar experience? Or does anyone know why? I  have a Chinese 3040T that I use just for fun. Is it back to the piece of paper or can you help?
Many thanks
Eugene

Hi everyone, my name is Eugene and I am from Herefordshire in the UK.  If you know a "Newbie" then add ten to the scale of 'Newbie' and that is me.  I became interested a few months ago as I tried to use a router to make a house sign, I thought there must be an easier way so a lot of money later here I am.  In one sense time is not on my side but on the other I have loads of it. Slow and steady, read a lot (on this Forum) and hopefully I might get somewhere. I have got a CNC 3040T which I bought from a German Company.  As well as the CNC i have really gone into woodworking spending a lot on Contractors Saw Bench, Router and Table. No more manual for me then.  Great to be here, it would be handy if there were other people around Hereford who were able to maybe visit and advise.  I love reading all the Posts and look forward to becoming an 'expert' before I croak.
