This is a inexpensive way to find out if you need to invest in the more expensive cnc programs or not. Some of you are just in it for fun as I am, this is great for me!
I am a retired custom cabinet maker and needed a hobby with minimal investment.
The things i make keeps the grand kids happy.

 I might consider trying Fusion 360, been bouncing on it as to the expense and do i really need it. Don't know!! Pretty content right now. Can't justify the cost!

Yes feeds and speeds .
I just wanted to get some input on bits and brands, success and failure on no brand in particular. 
Who is using what for what. Knowledge

Nothing special, where to buy, what brand! who has the best luck with what!
Just looking for pro's and cons, good luck, bad luck.

Just doing some carving and came across a need for some bull/ ball nose bits to try a different project setup.

You are correct. I did purchase the UC100 from CNCDrive, and currently us the DB25 bob.
I also took your advice and purchased Mach4.  Works great

Sounds like you have the same motor kit that i have. I had no idea what i was getting into, but in the back of my mind i knew i could do this.  It just fascinates me. Everyone on this forum is great and will help when they can.
I hung in there and i love it. Its only been a year for me so i am a newbie as well.
