General Mach Discussion / Re: THC300 problem
« on: March 01, 2009, 09:26:43 AM »

The THC ON button just activates the THC function during a cut. To fire the torch click on Torch ON again for Torch OFF
If you  type M3 in the MDI DRO and press enter does the torch fire ? Which version of Mach are you using?
Are you using the files from www.soundlogicus.com click on support/ download. You could send me the XML you are using
and I will have a look. ( off list )

General Mach Discussion / Re: Charge pump setting THC300
« on: March 01, 2009, 08:03:01 AM »
Yes. The charge pump out from Mach is a tone about 13khz or so. We use this output to know when Mach is ready to cut.
It enables the Torch trigger relay out only when Mach has been reset and ready to run . It is on charge pump2 port 2 pin 17
You can download the manual from www.soundlogicus.com click on support/download.

General Mach Discussion / Re: limit switches on Fet4
« on: September 26, 2006, 09:41:24 AM »

I am not familiar with the Fet4 board but FYI

The THC300 requires an input for a touch off switch on the floating head.
It can be hooked up an input on the first port or it can be connected through the
2nd port pin 13 from the sensor board at the plasma machine.
Please let me know if I can help.

The 2nd charge pump must be set to port2 pin 17. This will prevent turning on the torch until
Mach is reset.

Chuck,
The floating head is normally open switch.
You can have it on Port 2  Pin 13 and it will be sensed from the sensor board.
Or you can hook it to port 1 pin 13  and use that input. On the Sound Logic breakout
board that will be the Z limit input.

Make sure you click on the THC ON button on Mach3 screen. With it off
it will run as if you are running a router. Another thing that  you could check
in Mach/config/mill options/THC options make sure all  is un-checked

General Mach Discussion / Re: THC300 arc voltage
« on: September 25, 2006, 02:46:27 PM »
It will adjust from about 200v down to 50 v on the older units.
I have added a switch and resistor make it adjust lower for fine consumables.
If you what the mod email me off list and I will send it to you.

You should have a look at Vectric Vcarve Pro. I just purchased it and it is the easiest I have ever seen to learn.
www.vectric.com  I believe. Custom-CNC.com sells it.

I haven't seen that one. Could you send me your XML and let me have a look at it.
It is possible that you XML is corrupt.
