I use MACH 3 Mill and was wondering where are the other 2 AXIS. Wondering if I can make a welding robot.

Happy Easter

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle Direction
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:53:42 AM »
Could someone tell me where you go with the step direct pins in Motor Output, Spindle. How does this equate to driving the 0-10v . trying to setup V7 VFD with a C23 board

SmoothStepper USB / Re: PWM output for spindle
« on: March 31, 2009, 04:46:17 AM »
Hi Guys

I am trying to setup a YASKAWA V7 VFD. I have a SS and C23 board. Attached posts describe below Select the Motor Outputs tab.

Enable the spindle
Assign port numbers
Assign pin numbers

The C23 has a 0-10 analogue output which is preset to pin 14. Can someone explain why we need a step and dirtection pin to run the spindle. What pins are relevant to control the voltage.  There is the ability to assign pins in the spindle setup and motor outputs. I'm very confused.

Education appreciated!!

I created a shape (rough centre board for boat) in Rhino and used Rhinocam to create a tool path to rough it out. The post processor was MACH2. Not sure if that works with MACH3 but I thought it would just be GCODE and be OK. I have attached the TXT file and the screen shot.

Surround yourself with people smarter than yourself I always say. Looks perfect. When she who must be obeyed wakes up I'll run it. How did you clean it up?

Thanks

Cannot send .3dm files so here is the dxf. Hope you can nut it out as I don't want to learn RhinoCam for such a simple cut.

Kind Regards

LazyCam (Beta) / Lazycam Not duplicating

Hi All

I have drawn a shape in Rhino, copied it and rotated it and exported it to DXF for opening in Lazycam. The clone will not pocket correctly but the first drawn will. See attach screenshot. Anybody got any clues?

Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: No G100 Found

When I disabled the wireless network Mach found the G100. i was than able to reactivate the Wireless network while Mach running and they both worked together. A work around but at least I can look at the forum at the other end of the building if I need to.
