Just wondering how much experience the OP has in electronics, wiring and building CNC machines?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Probing Wizard
« on: February 12, 2019, 08:27:05 PM »
Well I wanted the one that creates a point cloud, I can lay an object on the router table and probe  XY&Z. YES I have been searching and nothing comes up. That is why I asked the question on the Mach3 Forum. I have the Probe It one and it works fine, creates a nice DXF file. But I still need the 2.5 D probe capabilities.

Since the board has been down for repairs and the Search engine out for months I have not checked back in.

Why make the existing Forum useless for the past two months for a upgrade???  Make the site off line and get it working Then disable and move over.  Pretty basic stuff.

But Warp 9 ESS  wants a certain version of Mach , so I guess it will be trial and error.  I do know Corel Draw x6 loads and seems to work fine. Thanks Gerry.

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 on Windows 10 Pro

I know this has been covered before, BUT since Search has been disabled here we go.

Using Mach3 with Warp 9  ESS just fine on Windows 7 Pro laptop a Lenovo but would like to free up that computer for another rask. I have a Dell Latitude E5510 with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit I would like to use instead. Before I waste my time, Is this an option?    Running a 4x4 ft router table.

Yes I have been running CNC on my cinfigured laptops for years, not Win 10 however.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Home slave with Master + Gantry squaring
« on: November 13, 2018, 01:52:28 PM »
Typically the long axis is the X, and this is usually the axis that the gantry travels along. Some manufacturers like to call them the opposite, but I think the axis along the gantry should always be the Y axis, with the X being the dual drive axis.

People typically call the gantry the X axis when they operate the machine facing the gantry. I operate mine from the side.

Both mine are the same distance.   X for me has always left right and Y front back on every machine I have owned. The machine I have now is the same? The software  XML file came in preset that way and it works.
