Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach3 to Mach4 with Warp9 ESS
« on: March 18, 2019, 03:29:15 PM »
Thanks Craig I am seeing the limits change when I am activating... just can't get the motors to run! I did make sure they were configured both in the ESS and the Control drop down.

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach3 to Mach4 with Warp9 ESS
« on: March 18, 2019, 01:22:56 PM »
I have screen prints of all the settings and I think but will confirm with the CheckList from the other side, But....

I have done a lot of pin assignments and the rest in the 233 Warp9 configure pull down. I can see the E-Stop button press but motors do nothing?

So My Stupid question is that besides the Warp9 setup configure,  do I need to do it All Again in the plug down Control window?? I thought if you selected and configured the ESS that was the control setup?

Craig I have a question for you about Mach4 vs the Acorn system?  I thought M4 was the answer to all of  M3 problems and it was ready for prime time.  I am now in the middle of going from M3 to M4 with the same Warp9 ESS that worked ok in M3.  Now I am wondering?  Is the new Acorn being so highly promoted on various Forums, really that much better? Its more money to switch over and I am just a semi-professional  using on a  4x4 foot commercially made USA router. I do sell my work from time to time and I need something I can depend on.

Sounds like a job for an automation specialist and a PLC on some of the machines. Omron makes a good product.

A very good response Craig and it explained a lot.

So my probe and all works fine in Mach3, now thinking of going to Mach4 with the same Warp9 ESS setup.  Am I going to have issues?  Trying to do some research here and not getting a clear picture. Yeah and I would like to run the whole setup on Win10 Pro, a change from Win7 64 bit of course.

Gerry are you running the UNCNC program and interface on Windows 10?
