General Mach Discussion / Remove BKSPACE from Hotkeys

Hello, i have a few questions about some hotkeys and some minor stuff that may be silly, but for me it isn't:

1) Given the title, we're so used to press BKSPACE to erase some wrong typed characters that i do that so often
and my emergency goes on. Is there a way to remove this shortcut to ESTOP from the BKSPACE ?

2) If there is a way, can we also erase characters we type like... in MDI ?

3) Also my resolution is 1080p(Monitor), MACH3 window seens just so weird and small, is there a way to make it better?

I think for now, this is more urgent.

Before i post a detailed description, please when i mean "Machine Definition" is not the Machine tab, is the "Machine Definition" Tab,
where all the things about your machine are stored, what is table, what is spindle, what axis combination your machine uses,
the feeds, max, min, tolerances, arc, everything, post that your machine uses.. see?

My HLOCK is far away from me now, so i can't post anything more detailed right now,

Another thing that i would like to point is that the "Single Step" function isn't working.

Does it need to configure this key ?

I am using that Boss_Mach3 post processor, i noticed that is limited to 3 axis, but it's the only post that worked
with MasterCAM 2017.

My machine has 4 axis and i need one that is suitable for it. Does anyone here know any post ?

PS: it needs to be for mastercam.

If not, please help me get some working with 4 axis, it's really urgent, like for a 1-2 week job.

Hi guys, i built a cnc machining center for aluminum and bought this jog controller:



It works really well, but something really weird happened yersteday.

I was jogging the -z axis to reach the part so i could offset my endmill, my G0 speed is 15m/min,
but i set 10% of jog speed to reach the part, so i can go really slow and touch the part.

So there was i holding the button, suddenly it advanced like if it was in 100% feedrate and crashed
my endmill in the aluminum part, at first i thought i pressed something, but it happened again
some other times... this is really annoying because i am scared of pressing the jog button,
afraid it will crash everytime.

Is a calibration problem ? Does anyone went through something similar ?

Solved my problem. If anyone is interested into:

Get to this link: http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,1306.msg7315.html#msg7315

Just download the "Boss_Mach3.txt" file, save as .pst

Put into the shared mcam2017/mill/posts

Press "Alt+C" into mastercam, go on to "UpdatePost.dll"

Use the app, hit apply, put the post into your machine definition. Good milling.

About question 3, i need something that transcends the M6 script. The variables in the program are not global relative to mach, the output of my bob is. I won't activate any mechanical switch or inductive to mark a tool in the spindle. It's just something that transcends the m6 script local variables. But the problem is that it doesnt transcends the machine on/off state.

I tested the question about hitting cycle start. Yes i wrote DoOEMButton(1000) and it works like a charm. It worked on a G-CODE program.

Hello, i am in need of the post processor for this version. I downloaded the generic artsoft provided mach 3 post processor, but when i try to use it, it says it needs to be updated.

When i try to update i get the message on the attached image. Anyone can help ?
