General Mach Discussion / Parallel Port Output Voltage
« on: October 11, 2019, 07:21:18 PM »
My Mach3 is not communicating with the cnc router.
Testing the parallel port, I get 3.4 volts on most of the pins on the 13 side without pressing any keys page up, down left ,right etc
On the 12 pin side I get no voltage at all ,even when I press the up down side to side X,Y,Z
This kind of tells me a setting is not right?
Should I be getting volts through the Parallel ports pins for ie, up- down - side to side ?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Mach3 and G-Rex / Mach 111 stops while cnc router is cutting.
« on: September 25, 2019, 10:00:27 AM »
Hi all, hope someone can help me with this issue i have been having

While cutting a sign for example, it will start cutting and working
then it stops , just like if you were to click the stop button on the mach 111 control panel .

The mach11 control panel then becomes unusable.

The only way to get things running again is to shut down the computer and start over, hoping you can find the starting point on the project.
Most of the time the job is scrap.
This all just happens some times ,about 40% of my jobs.

I have checked settings in the windows 7 to make sure the computer does not sleep.
I havent done any updates to Mach 111.

My cnc router needs a parallel port connection on a computer, or I would try another computer.

any idea or tips?

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / One stepper Motor Acting Up
« on: October 05, 2017, 06:55:37 PM »
Hey all,

I have one stepper motor that likes to run backwards sometimes.
Its on the Y axis...with dual motors.
When I disconnect the the motor in question and the gantry runs smooth...no vibration or change in direction.

When I disconnect the good stepper motor and jog with the bad stepper in one direction on the key board> stop > hit same direction and some times it will go the opposite direction.
Also a bit of vibration.
Any tips or advise?

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Do I need to Delete old users file
« on: September 24, 2017, 02:49:03 PM »
Hi all,

I have a used cnc router, and it had the trial mach3 on the computer that it came with

I bought the mach3 license and tried to install it as instructed
And it wont load.
I do see the old users name up in the address bar

Do I need to delete the whole old trial Mach3 and install a new trial and then install my new license?

Thanks for your input

Hello all,

I have now a used cnc router.
It was conected to Mach3  from the original owner, and Im useing the trial version
that is installed on the PC.
How do I buy and add the full version?
The settings and alot of the set up work hopfully is already done, with it be installed before.

Could I purchase the full version on my home computer, then load the key into the CNC computer?

Thanks
