General Mach Discussion / connect spindle to BL-UsbMach-V2.1

Hi Everyone,
Hopefully someone can help me. I have an 2.2KW Air Cooled Spindle Motor with an Huanyang HY series 220V Inverter VFD 3HP. I am trying to wire up the VFD and the spindle to my breakout board. However, the documentation I have is not that clear. I have attached a photo of my breakout board and a picture of my VFD, Greatly appreciate any help. At this time all I want is to connect the DCM and FOR (spindle On/Off) and the ACM and VI (spindle speed control) from the VFD to my Mach3 Usb breakout board. I have attached a photo of both my VFD and my breakout board. If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

I ran into a problem with my first project. I made a sign but when it finished the sign is a mirror image. Instead of left to right it did right to left but the sign came out as if I am looking into a mirror. What do I need to do in Mach3 software to fix this

General Mach Discussion / Need help with Mach3 and my cnc calibration

Hi wondering if I can get some help here. Here is how the problem occurred. I purchased the hardware from "Build your cnc" website back in 2013 and I built my own 2 x 4 cnc machine. Everything was put together with Mach3 and everything was working well with no issues. Last week I went to you my cnc machine. I turned it on and my computer and I heard a pop sound. Found out that my motherboard fried. I had windows xp pro 32bit installed on it. Like I said before this happened everything was working very well. I decided to change my lead screw from an 1/2" allthread ( 13 tpi) to a 1/2" 5 start and 10 TPI ACME precision lead screw. I installed the new leadscrew. Instead of installing windows xp again I decided to install windows 7, since it is compatible with Mach3. The only unfortunate part is that my new computer did not have a parallel port attached to the motherboard. So I went to purchase a PCI parallel port card. I installed the new parallel port card with the updated drivers. I reinstalled the updated version of Mach3. I copied and paste my licence to the root of the Mach3 folder. I was then ready to calibrate my cnc machine. When I tried to test the movement of the x,y, and z axis nothing moved. I then checked each pin of the parallel port to make sure it was get the necessary voltage and it was. does anyone have any ideas? I would hate to reinstall windows xp over again.

General Mach Discussion / X,Y, and Z axis not moving when using Mach3

Hi everyone. I was wondering if I can get some help. Let me give you some background on my problem. I built a 2 x4 cnc machine back in 2013 with the plans and hardware I purchased on the buildyourcnc.com website. So for 5 years I've been using the cnc machine with Mach 3 and windows xp with no issues. 2 weeks ago my computer harddrive blew. I had a newer computer running windows 7 32 bit. So I went to machsupport and downloaded Mach 3 R3.043. I copied and paste my licence in the root of Mach3 folder. I followed the set by set procedures to setup and calibrate Mach3 and my cnc machine. I also disabled the estop. Now when I try to move the x, y, or z axis my cnc machine will not move. when I plug in my parallel port and usb cable from my cnc box to my computer I hear a knock sound from all 3 motors telling me that the motors are starting up. However when I try to test my cnc to see if the axis move it does not. The only difference between when my cnc use to work and now is that I updated the operating system from windows xp to windows 7 32 bit and I changed the 3 leadscrews for the x,y and z axis to a acme 1/2" - 10 TPI 5 starts (2 turns per inch). Any ideas how to fix the issue.

(1) 36v 8.8a Power Supply

Is there a difference between UC100 adapter and a parallel to usb adapter that I can pickup at a computer store ?
