Hello Kenneth,

TrueRPM displays the true RPM of the spindle. Unless you have an input set up to provide that information to Mach4, it has no way of knowing the True RPM. Spindle RPM will display the spindle speed that is commanded in the g code, which is what I would recommend using.

One on one phone support. / Re: About one on one phone support.
« on: February 13, 2019, 10:46:14 AM »
Phone support is offered via our helpdesk, support.machsupport.com. The rules posted in 2006 are not current, as we now have an actual tech support team in place and a ticketing system. Phone support minutes are sold in 15 minutes chunks. Each chunk is $30. Phone support sessions are offered on a first come first serve basis, with Mach4Industrials taking priority. I recommend submitting a ticket before purchasing minutes to make sure the issue you need help with is one that we can help you with over the phone.

Best wishes,
Bryanna

Edit: The helpdesk is the only way to guarantee official support from our team. You are welcome to post here seeking help from other users, but you will not likely receive a response from our team on this thread.

Hello Kenneth,

That DRO is set by default to display TrueRPM, which is only provided to Mach4 if you have an input set up to do so. You can change the DRO using the Screen Editor. Go to Operator>Edit Screen and click that DRO. You'll see the Properties section on the left-hand side. The DRO Code is set to Spindle TrueRPM, but you can change it there. I would recommend going to Screen>Save As and give your newly customized screen with a unique name. That will leave a clean default screen to revert back to and it will prevent your screen from being overwritten if you update later on.

Best wishes,
Bryanna

Hello Mike,

In newer versions, some tool path settings have been relocated. If you go into the screen editor and select the toolpath, there are now options to adjust the line width in the Properties section (bottom left). Increase the line width (don't be afraid to go too high), save changes, and restart Mach4. Load your g code file and you should see an improvement.

Hello,

Try disabling your AV software while using Mach4. Unfortunately, those programs can cause a lot of headaches and should not be used with Mach4--especially when controlling your machine.

Best wishes,
Bryanna

Is the computer 32-bits? And did you choose to install the parallel port driver during install?
