Please see attached to reverse direction.

(I had deleted my earlier post because I thought TPS's solution would work but it will only work for ref.all home)

Mach Screens / Re: chinese cnc probing macros?
« on: April 21, 2019, 04:51:01 AM »
I suspect that it's your XHC card. I know that some people could not get that card to work correctly.

From XHC plugin change log

V2.38.4 2015.7.8
1. add probe variable 2000-2003,but it maybe still could not compatible with mach3 screen 2010.
if you want to probe with screen 2010, please replace the GetVar(2002) with getoemdro(802),
GetVar(2001) with getoemdro(801),GetVar(2000) with getoemdro(800).

"Mach3 works in mysterious ways..LOL"

Were April 17, 18 2019 "RAIN and Thunderstorm" days in USA?
It could be that the Computer CPU heat sink, PSU and CNC PSU & BOB were all full of dust and malfunctioned when the humidity was high.
After some long troubleshooting time, the water over the dust had dried up and MACH3 WORKED normally since.

Blow out all duct periodically..

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle Relay Configuration Questions

"I'll order the board you recommended"

Attached  is manual for the popular 5-axis MACH3 BOB for your download and retention.

Happy CNC ing

You can even add a cheap "single-relay board" design for Aduino if you want to implement M4 for spindle counterclockwise spin if you use the unused pins (for the unused 5th axis) to drive a Aduino relay board.

YOUR BOB cannot control Spindle Speed and does NOT have opto-isolation for inputs.
It is more expensive to patch it with daughter optional boards/circuits.

Please Buy
https://www.ebay.com/p/CNC-5-Axis-Interface-Breakout-Board-for-Stepper-Motor-Driver-CNC-Mill-Mach3-Lo/930903162
and replace your BOB.

That BOB can control  spindle on/off as it has ONE relay and Spindle speed as it has a 0-10V Analogue output to control speed. Also inputs have opto-isolation.
Unfortunately it has only 1 relay so you cannot have reverse unless you add another relay.
i have the manual for it and can get you going once you have bought that BOB.

Share Your GCode / Re: 2D projects to share
« on: April 20, 2019, 06:21:49 PM »
hi guys, just starting out and I am learning so much so fast but I am struggling creating my own gcode files so I was wondering has anyone got any 2D files to cut into 6 mm ply to share with me just to keep me going while I get the hang of it. thanks in advance.
plenty of gcodes files are included in a  .rar file (use freeware 7zip to unrar)

Mach3 under Vista / Re: Driver stops responding?
« on: April 20, 2019, 05:56:24 PM »
I was having problems with my original PC periodically locking up solid whilst running Mach3, so I have built a new box.

I am using an Intel Atom D525 @ 1.8GHz on a Gigabyte GA-D525TUD board with 4GB RAM and have switched from XP on the old machine to Win 7 32-bit.

I installed a clean copy of the current lockdown version of Mach3 (022).

I have turned off all power saving settings I can find.

The driver test program shows 'excellent' at all pulse rates. I set up Mach3 at 25KHz for soak testing.

I left Mach3 idle on the Diagnosics tab for an hour and then noticed that the 'time in int' value had stuck at +6.9. It was oscillating a couple of points either side of 7 previously.

Mach3 was still responsive to screen input and I could load G-code, but the DROs would not change value in response to jogging or code.

The test environment is a clean install with no extra plugins. It is configured for the parallel port, but nothing is plugged into the port at this stage.

Looks as though something causes communication with the driver to stop?

Terry

Have you done this patch?

Have a question i hope someone can assist with.
Have a machine we purchased from Cncrouter parts, its a Pro table with a x,y,z axis and is a very well built machine.
machine is operational and have been able to create g code files from 3d image files and run on the machine.
At the moment i have a ink pen mounted on the end of the z axis that is used to draw the pattern on a sheet of paper just to test and make sure everything is working.
Will be looking at mounting a floor mounted extruder machine and run a hose from it to the z axis and attach to the end of the z axis.
When machine is started, will start the extruder and extruder material to duplicate what was drawed on the paper.
At the moment,, starting the print from the Mach 3 screen.
is there a way to use the Mach3 to load the G code file and then a remote input such as from a push button etc. be wired into the machine to start the print cycle.

I have a -10V to +10V signal from a device which I would like to control a AC Tech VFD with https://www.clrwtr.com/Products/ESV751N04TXC.

I want at -10V the motor to reverse & at +10V the motor to go forward. At 0V the motor should stop.

Can this be done?

YES it can be done PROVIDED your BOB (Break out Board) has two relays.

One relay controlled by M3 say output 1 (pin ##)  is connected to connector 13A of the Inverter.
2nd relay controlled by M4 say output 2 (pin ##)  is connected to connector 13B of the Inverter.
Digital Ground connected to 1 & 4 as in attached diagram.
On the inverter
Set P112 to 1
Set P121 to 13
Set P122 to 14

ANI connection REMAINS same.
