« on: May 01, 2019, 05:51:23 AM »
Hello i'm looking for Cycle Counter For My Mach3 Mill.
I can't understand how to do or put counter of cycle start which i want to display on my screen how many times i started cycle.
Please help me.
Maybe use MACH3 "BRAINS" for that.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle Relay Configuration Questions
« on: May 01, 2019, 05:48:27 AM »
The relay is rated at 10A (resistive load)
Max AC voltage 250VAC
Max DC voltage 30VDC
The lower DC voltage (30V MAX. ONLY) permissible already caters for DC arcing. That's why you cannot use 250VDC when you can use 250VAC.

For Inductive load (motors) the max. current rating should be derated 50% meaning 5A is max if using inductive loads like a motors.

The BOB board must be powered by 12-24V otherwise the optically isolated inputs will not work.
USB connection is NOT required

The relay can take 250V AC 10Amps so can switch 110V AC directly.
Or it can also switch DC INSTEAD up to 30V also up to 10A current.

I think it is better to switch the DC side of your spindle.
The 0-10V Analog output of the BOB should connect to the ground and wiper pin of your Speed controller variable POT that now control the spindle speed.

See attached for a NORMALLY CLOSED probe

I was thinking debounce for the probe should be as low as feasible for better sensitivity.

BUT for future:-
I would recommend you make a probe using Quality NC (normally closed) metal switch for better reliability and absolute foolproof operation.

I am in process of making one (almost completed) even though I do not have no problems with my STD probe. But I once broke a bit because I FORGOT to clip the ground wire to the bit (an operator error).
With a NC switch, the top could be replaceable hard (cabinet door bumper) plastic to protect the bit tip and the probe could be used for non-conducting ceramic and diamond bits too. Switch opening to trigger is theoretically much most reliable.

Try to set your denounce - But DO NOT set debounce TOO HIGH

(See attached for e.g. of Mach3 tips)

EdytorNC is (FREEWARE) text editor for CNC programmers. Some features : bolt holes calculation; solutions of triangles calculation; speed, feed calculation; conversion inch/mm, mm/inch; code colouring; RS232 data transmission with automatic file saving and possibility to download new CNC program directly from machine (beta function, look in tool tips in serial port configuration dialog).
Clipboard to keep texts from system clipboard.

Features
bolt holes calculation
solutions of triangles calculation
RS232 data transmission with auto save and file server
conversion inch/mm, mm/inch
code colorizing
speed, feed calculation
side by side file comparison

"MACH4 Industrial" Users can just use the [FANUC] tool tips - since MACRO B Gcode tips are included there already.

General Mach Discussion / EdytorNC support for MACH3 in NEXT release?
« on: April 30, 2019, 06:47:44 PM »
FYI
I edited the CNC-tips.txt file to include 100% of G and M codes for MACH3.
Unfortunately EdytorNC had been hard-coded to only support
[OKUMA]
[FANUC]
[SINUMERIK]
[SINUMERIK_840]
[HEIDENHAIN]
[HEIDENHAIN_ISO]
[LinuxCNC]

I sent my entries to author EdytorNC of Artur Koziol who then said he will include MACH3 tips in the global tooltips list of the NEXT RELEASE of EdytorNC.

In the meantime, I have put MACH3 G & M codes under [HEIDENHAIN_ISO] and am able use them successfully.

Many thanks to Artur Koziol.
