Well, I found the license to: box and it says it’s the demo. So that explains that.
Can I validate it with my license? Or do I have to start from scratch and reload Mach 3 and
Go through all the settings again?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 only loading half the program
« on: December 11, 2018, 06:43:37 AM »
I have been trying to load a program I created in Bobcad and have on a USB stick.I have run a few programs through this process and had no problem. Now I am trying to load a longer program and only half of it loads into Mach3. I’m not sure why.

I bought the control complete with computer and Mach3 installed a while back. It came with a disk with the license and plugins on it.  I was having trouble setting up Mach when I retrofitted my machine. So at one point I ended up reloading the recommended version of Mach3 that I read on Warp9’s website. I have had it working for a while now and haven’t had too many real problems with it, although I have only made a few parts with it.

Anyway, when I reloaded Mach, does Mach automatically pick up my license and plugins? Or do I have to run the disk now? Or did I do it wrong in the first place? And could this be my issue of not being able to load a longer program? I only ask because I just read on the Mach site that if you are running an unlicensed version that there is a line limit .  And possibly, since I downloaded the recommended version, Maybe my license is not automatically recognized now?

I just wanted to report back that changing the mode does in fact make the left joystick work for x&y. Thanks again.

Great. I will try that. Thank you for the reply.

I made a donation and also downloaded the plugin. I was able to get my Logitech 710 controller to work, but I can’t figure out how to change  my X and Y control from the 4 way rocker to the left joystick. The z is running on the right joystick. The problem I am having is that either the 4way rocker on the left upper part of the contol is off or on, no slow and faster. The joystick makes it so the z axis can be jogged progressively faster or slower by the amount of lever action. The   X and  y  only jog fast or are stopped.
Is there a way to change this?

Perfect. I will try that. Thank you for your help

Ok, I must be confused about this.
On the Program page, under the DRO, there is a "soft limits" switch. That is the switch I am talking about. So I should not use that?

When I said that I activated the switches, I mean the button on the control that lights up green when it’s active. I wasn’t referring to the actual switches on the Axis’s. When I startup the machine and home the switches, the table does move slowly till it hits the switches , then it backs off the switches and calls that home. Then it will jog normally. But when I push the limit switch button on the control the machine will jog normally one direction, but trying to jog the opposite direction it moves very slow and makes a weird noise while moving, like it’s really laboring. Is that still normal?

So I have been muddling through the homing and limits. I got the homing working great. But when I activate the limit switch, the axis(x or y)
Will move at normal speed in one direction and real slow when I switch directions. I must have a settting messed up.
Any suggestions?

  Thanks. Rick
