Mach3 under Vista / Re: Driver Test Will Not Work in Vista
« on: June 01, 2017, 04:10:44 AM »
Yes I followed all the advice given in the post, I have a powerful computer 3ghz cpu with 1 gb ram, fresh installation of win vista home premium 32 bit os
parallel port configured correctly, with fresh installation of Mach3, its all working ok apart from not being able to test the driver in explorer and the yellow abnormal condition light flashing  saying axis not configured correctly and cv vs  instantant stop conflict which i cannot change in general config, i ran a test job and it all seems to be working ok, i dont know why the mach3 driver has a question mark against in in device manager.

Mach3 under Vista / Driver Test Will Not Work in Vista
« on: May 31, 2017, 03:06:43 PM »
I am running Mach3 on 32 bit windows vista and the driver test will not work, I looked in the device manager and saw mach3 pulsing engine, clicked on that and saw the driver but it has a question mark against it, when i go to the Mach3 folder i see the driver test icon, i right click on it and run as administrator, then a box appears on my screen asking me if i want to run the program, I click yes, and the screen just flickers and the program doesnt start, when i was running on xp it all worked fine, any ideas on this one please.

General Mach Discussion / Drilling Problem
« on: May 26, 2017, 12:47:19 PM »
Hi, I am trying to make an indexing plate on my CNC router, i have made them before without out problems, but i have just started to make another one and the circles are not running true, I cant see that i have changed anything so it should be the same as the last one i made which was perfect, the only thing i hace done is to use an airline on the keyboard to blow the swarf out, i was wondering if it might have pressed a key and changed something, the first circle seems ok but the next one is way off centre, tried to upload an image but its not having it.

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 General Questions
« on: December 18, 2016, 05:52:00 AM »
I am evaluating Mach4 on , my windows 10 pro laptop and seem to have a problem of Mach4 locking up and freezing at times, I'm pretty sure its not a problem with my laptop as it is very powerful and can handle memory intensive programs with ease, I do not have a machine connected to the laptop and my router is running Mach3 on another win xp computer, I'm just wondering if all will be ok if I run Mach4 on my win xp computer before I buy a license.

Thanks for your quick reply, I have no idea if the code was generated with the centre at home, I'm using Artcam and cambam to automatically generate the gcode, if I park the tool over the centre of the work and do a regen the crosshairs in the mach3 screen are almost dead centre over the top of the picture, ive been playing around with it and it seems a lot better now, the only problem is that the machine is cutting smaller than it should do, for example to test I made a gcode letter "A" that I programed to engrave at a height of 10mm but when it actually cuts into the work the size of the engraved letter is about 1mm in size, I did play around with the motor tuning a bit and not sure if its right, before my computer crashed and had to reinstall Mach3 it was all working fine.
