probably another stupid question. After my work is done and I want to go with all Axis to the Machine Coordinates Zero (Home) how do I do that? Without disabling soft limits or jogging ?

Thanks ,

I just did ... let me tell you figuring out the right steps took me some time there. Is eightStep also called microstepp ? Or the whole terminology is Microstepping ?

Hi my name is Csaba,

I was born in Hungary 1968 on the border to Serbia. I grew up in Switzerland lived in the US, Australia, Spain and now back in Switzerland again. My interests are music, electronics, DIY Modular Synth and now CNC. I started out building my first router a year ago and kind of gotten stuck with it. I then purchased a Proxxon PF70 to route/mill my work .Soon I discovered that it can be converted into a nice little CNC machine which I successfully did. I have also built it's own enclosure
and of course all the drivers/interface. For me the main idea for a CNC would been engraving frontplates. Which this guy is unfortunately to small. But still I'm just getting into working with the machine and learning. I have recently licensed MACH3 mainly so I have support. I am very satisfied with the Software and I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Many thanks for all the helpful people out there

Csaba

Do you recommend separate profile one with FullStep one with HalfStep , EightStep & MicroStep ?

This is maybe a stupid question : I was working today with my newly built CNC in Full step . Everything is fine. I was engraving something to test with "WRITE" and  it was OK but not as perfect. Then  was gonna swich to microstepping because I wasn't quiet happy with the resolution. But now of course do I have to set things up again. Fist of all .What do I have to do?. Motor tuning and  double all the values in there?. There must be a easier way that I completely overlooked.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle Control
« on: July 03, 2007, 09:09:31 PM »
Why not PIN 1 ? I kind of have to .. because of my Interface. I have almost resolved the issue. In the Output the OUTPUT 1 was not set up. Plus I had some interference when I activated Spindle in the Motor Output. That totaly threw me off.. but then looking at the VIDEO again I got things working the way it should  ;) .
But now Spindle Speed is an Issue . How do I set it up so I can control the Spindle speed . It doesn't seem to do anything right now allthough I tried couple of things with the Spindle Setup Page / Motor control. What do you guys have there my maximum RPM 20'000. Or maybe there is a great VIDEO that shows exactly that ?

I can't control PIN 1 .I said earlier that it's constantly "LOW" it's actually constantly "HIGH" and I can't turn it off.  How does a Spindle setup usually look like ?? ???
