Hi,

When I navigate to the forum in Chrome android I get the message "Machsupport is android native, use Tapatalk....". But Tapatalk cannot find the forum when I search for it in Tapatalk. Am I missing something?

Thank you very much. And sorry for the late reply. I was busy with other things.

You are right. Found the encoder ticks in the regfile window. I noticed that the resolution of my encoder is too low. Only 400 ticks per rew. So it is actually a 100 PPR encoder? I need an encoder with much higher resolution to be able to cut large spur gears.

Encoder is already connected and works great. Threading no problem.

I didn't know the existence of the Register Diagnostics plugin. I'll take a look.

I found the problem. Windows display scaling causes this.

Every time I open Mach4 it opens as windowed as you see in the attached image. However the maximize/restore button on the top right corner is in restore state so it is actually maximized (confusing?). When I click that button Mach4 tries to make itself windowed. Then the button change to maximize state and when I click it it maximizes (truly maximized).

I always exit Mach4 maximized and expect it to start maximized.

I know its weird. Does anyone have the same issue? Is there a way to fix it?

I don't think the spindle needs to be a servo. The lathe in the video has an induction motor driven by a VFD. But the spindle have an encoder with hall, same as mine. He uses LinuxCNC though.
