Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 ShuttleXPress/Pro problem
« on: January 25, 2018, 07:16:12 AM »
Hi,

I have both Shuttle XPress and PRO. The inner wheel works reversed. When I rotate it CW the axis moves to - direction. When I rotate the wheel CCW then the axis moves to + direction. The outer wheel works fine by the way. Both XPress and PRO works the same way.

Is there a way to revert the inner wheel?

PS: This problem does not occur in Mach3.

Thanks,
Suat

Solved. Don't ask me how. You already know how.

Mach4 General Discussion / Licensed Mach4 running in demo mode
« on: December 23, 2017, 02:04:42 PM »
I've contaced NFS a week ago but no one answered so I guess I need to try my luck here.

Mach4 was fine for a while but lately it turned out to Demo mode. I have 2 license files in the folder (Mach4 and Darwin) but I uninstalled the Darwin plugin.

I uninstalled Mach4 and did a fresh install but it didn't help.

I checked the PCID and it hasn't changed.

I re-generated my license files but it gave me the same files as before.

How can I make it full again?

Thanks,
Suat

Mach4 Plugins / ShuttlePro plugin can't save button mapping
« on: December 13, 2017, 10:51:39 AM »
I don't know if this is only happening to me. I run Mach4 as admin and configure the ShuttlePro buttons. All works well for the current session but when I restart Mach4 all the setting I made is gone.

Is there a solution for this?

It is attached to a lathe spindle, for threading with Mach4

You either have encoder+index or index only.

Using the encoder, PoKeys will track both the speed and position of the spindle, compensating for position errors due to spindle speed variations. Index is still required.

Without encoder, one index per rotation can also be employed for threading. Multiple pulses per rotation are not supported. If you have a gear tooth, it is simple to convert it to an encoder - just position two sensors offset for less than half of the tooth width and feed the signals from the sensors back to PoKeys as encoder signals.

When I use an encoder which has 3 channels (A, B and Z) do I still need an index sensor?

Do you have any progress with the M16?

Hi Craig,

I already did. I also created a new lathe profile. I have uploaded the profile folder if you (or anyone else wants to help) want to take a look.
