I finally got my table running.
Inkscape
Sheetcam Mach3 post processor
Hypertherm 45xp
Home made table
Mach 3 software.
Yesterday I made my first real cut but I had to start the torch manually. It will not come on automatically as it should.
It does shut itself off at the end of the run.
I do not see a M3 code at the beginning of the program as someone on plasmaspider forum suggested.

I am having issues with my software.
At the top of the screen it says demo issue. Is that because I have not licensed it yet?

I am having a beast of a time setting my table size and getting my machine coordinates to do anything. I can get the dros to zero in the work coordinates but not in the machine coordinates.
Am I right in that the machine coordinates button is showing the machine coordinates when the red led is lit around the button?
Below is my homing/limits settings.

I priced a sheet of 5 x 10 sheet of 14 ga and will probably go with that. One place here wanted 318 dollars  and the other place a little further away wanted 103.
I guess I will take the drive.
Thanks for the free engineering.

The outer perimeter angles are 3 x 3 x 3/16" with two 2 x 2 x 3\16" angles running across as shown in picture.

I am past my electronic problems so I am starting another thread.
My plasma table is going to have a water pan and I am at the point in the build where I need to build the pan. The dimensions are roughly 5 feet by 4 foot 4 and three inches deep. I am looking for suggestions on how thick of metal to use for the pan.
forty gallon of water will be the weight.
Thanks

Finally got it off the fab table. I think I am going to change the electronics box so that it will fit under the water pan.

I use a big weller 8200. Very old school and quite bulky but heat is almost instant.
