« on: October 02, 2016, 06:47:10 AM »
in my  post processor there is a gcode instruction that looks like s(s)

which translates in the gcode file to S12000

if I tell my tool to use 12000rpm

Hi Fred

I am soon to do some speed control on my setup so I have been doing some checking on utube

I am not sure if this video will help you, but he goes through the wiring and setup for his speed control

best of luck

I use these

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1pcs-solid-state-relay-SSR-25DA-25A-3-32V-DC-TO-24-380V-AC-SSR/32663806352.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.97.iCwyC8

they have them in different "coil" voltages etc only problem with them is they have a big footprint, and the 2 week post time

One thing I remembered to tell you, did you see the screenset called Blue Screenset, it has a touchplate sensor tester led on the main screen

Find it here http://www.machsupport.com/software/downloads-updates/screensets/

there is a good page on additional features on the cncforum

find it here http://www.cnczone.com/forums/mach-wizards-macros-amp-addons/56079-cnc-software-53.html#post436238

I installed it and the probe tester led on the main page really helps

I also wrote a warning to remind me to probe the z in the post processor,

"the older I get the dafter I get"

regards

I have added gcode to my post processor (+  Commands output at toolchange) it takes the Z bit upwards first then goes to a place near my zero zero mind you I dont use big clamps,

sounds like slack on the Nema coupler? though going up in dimensions doesn't fit right...

try some air cuts

fine :)

Did you follow the video, and used a measuring stick on the tip of a vbit? this is important!

dont forget "50 on your tape measure is 500mm"

if you did follow this video

then its the problem is in v-carve, make sure that one of the first 20 lines in the finished gcode from V-carve has a G21 command (for mm) (G20 for inches)

the G21 line in my gcode looks like this

N160G00G21G17G90G40G49G80

without the colour red

if its there in the finished gcode then check again the distances again in v-carve

50 on your tape measure is 500mm

your not giving enough info for us to make any judgement!!!!

Saying it doesnt work is not enough!

Please tell us in detail what calibrating you have done. :)

have you looked at utube for help?

try looking at this video please https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRagjLewSJg

sorry if I come across strongly but unless we have decent info we are just guessing
