Hi everyone,  i purchased Mach 3 a few years ago and installed it on a windows 7 32 bit desktop with parallel port.
I would like to get a new compute windows 10r and transfer my Mach 3 software over to new computer, how xan i do this conversion without a parallel port? Can i purchase a ethernet  smooth stepper and use that?
Thank you to all that respond

General Mach Discussion / Re: Jog keys

Hi everyone
I have a G0704 mill that i converted to cnc.
I was running a c10 breakout board the last few years and it finally stopped working,i replaced this board with a cnc6 breakout board. Because I need spindle control thru mach 3
I followed the settings for mach 3 with this board and both X Y axis are working fine, however the z axis only moves in one direction.  I set hot keys for +z and -z   i press + key and Z axis does move in positive direction but whe i press - z  key motor continues to  moves in the positive direction, when it should move in - direction
Anybody have opinions on this?

General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 settings for C11G breakout board
« on: October 03, 2018, 10:15:48 PM »
Hi Guys
I have a G0704 mill controlled by 5056 drivers with stepper motors Breakout board was C10 but it failed and i replaced with the C11G
My problem is when i move any of the axis, the motors dont move but the mach 3 screen shows movement in the machine position .
Does anybody know where i can find the mach 3 settings for the C11G breakout board?

Im assuming that since Mach 3 does not have a wear offset page for fine tuning each individual tool. figured i could just use G59P offsets and transpose the G54 offsets to the G59p offsets and just change the amount i needed to move tool into the G59P offset.
Well this in deed works good, so any tool i need to make a minor adjustment to i just give it a G59P7 or 8 or 9 and so forth.
However what i found out is if you are running a tool with cutter comp, and try to use the G59P offset it causes the tool to lose cutter comp and the tool just goes crazy all over.
Does anybody know how to correct this?
or is there a better way to make small wear offsets in X Y without using G59P tables?
any help would be appreciated

Im using mach 3 with a G0704 mill
i have set my 7 tools and touched off my Z locations
I established my X and Y zero of spindle and part location
I ran a part and one of the tools is cutting more on one side than the other on both X and Y
so i need to offset this tool like .020 in X and in Y
How do i do that independently of the spindle X Y zero point setting?

On cnc mills at work we have independent wear offset pages so you can easily change a tools location independent of machine Zero
any help would be appreciated .

hi everybody
i just bought the mach 3 license i have the demo loaded on my computer and have used it.
but now i purchased the license but don't know how to unzip it and copy and paste it into mach 3 folder.
I know this sounds lame but can anybody walk me thru the steps?
i can find the mach 3 folder  but can't figure how to get the license files into the demo mach 3 for the upgrade.
Do i have to purchase a unzip program first?
thank you

Mach3 under Vista / Re: 32 bit win 7
« on: February 14, 2016, 01:40:21 AM »
I hooked up my stepper motors and configured Mach 3 with the motors on the bench i ran a Mach 3 wizard program and the z axis motor run smooth and quite but the x and y motors chatter when the first start up and when they stop and change rotation direction. I double checked my 8 switch 5056D drivers they are set per instructions.
I'm running the mach3 demo software .
Anybody have an idea what's is wrong
