in pokeys you must fill all parameters of behavior of the homing cycle
like if stop when touch or return...etc
i consider you already did that and still have the problem
we mate such problem with pokey when the accl/dcll was too slow and its not stop enogh fast then its heat the mechanic or the limit
pokeys solve now this problem ,that pokeys take the accl/dcll parametrs from mach also about the homing

yes,replace the path or file name
we have the same with our language(Hebrew)
can use it as file name ,as any button or field   on screen,but not as folder ,not as any word inside the G code
i even didnt ask mach for this because i think its not so big deal to use only English letter inside gcode file
or folder

i feel that i must say in this topic ,i agree 100% +   with craig
in my working i sell software also in many countries in the world ,and i learn from very bad experience
that if you try waste time to fit yours system to any old pc or system ,you maybe success maybe not ,
but the time you waste for that is so high so you ALWAYS sorry for that you even start with that

its strange no any one here refer this question,most here are retrofit old Europe or USA  cnc that in there original controller for sure
have that option ,and no one mat that problem? even if cant solve but...

before think about mach  ,be sure yours servo is not analog comand (if so then you need buy the very expensive hardware)
if its support step/dir there no problem to jump in mach 4
