steve we had that also with TPA(our italian controler we use before) ther where also cad software but we had same problem that  not all task close,they add small app that have only simple button that was on desktop ,when you press ,it was close all task that link to there brand(also biesse-the most famous brand in woodworking cnc have this  app)

i also have this  ,but it always happened after something "happened" like stop was press while work ,or while homing or enable was press ,like that,then if its happened we  must close mach ,and reopen ,other its always as you described ,some axiss homing some no,
but in normal work ,i mean when turn on ,that there no error and start work normally ,i didn't have that behaviour

i try send here the file but its 25Mb cant send here
when i cut to half its let mach load it
but freinds its very confused because all chines cheap system can load such program only our cant??

what ever you choose ,stay with mach3 or 4 (i think stay with 3 its big mistake ,but its an option)
stay with chines card its not an option,i have been in china more then 30 times last 2 years ,i sell there software and know quit well there
cnc market ,the chines card well know there as disaster and unstable,and after very few uses start make many problems

do you mean controler will export the position only when turn on mach ? or can on real time? so if there any different between what mach think should be and what actual controller send can stop and alarm? not for pid just as second security
