Want to create a park button, and practice simple macros...have read the previous posts, can't get rid if the "null missing after newline"

Here is what I want

G0 Z1
G0 Y12

Have tried

Code "G0 Z1"
Code "G0 Y12"

Code "G0 Z1
G0 Y12"

All with and without a final carriage return...

Not sure what the question is, but do you have Somtlimits turned on?

Hmmmm..cant find anywhere to "turn them on"? I have them set up in home/limits, looked in general config, cant find any toggle to enable them. The original question was why is it running fine when I exceed soft limits?

Thanks

I searched and read a lot of posts on soft limits and nothing really applied...maybe I am overlooking something simple...setting seem right and the machine is homed...

Any suggestions?

Is there a way to put a button on a page you are building to simulate an input? For example, if I am playing around with homing or a touch probe, can I have a button to simulate the input pin that is set up for one of the external switches?

Just when I thought I understood! After reading thru the manual...here is what I was thinking...I need to install a second Y limit switch, wire XYZ limits to a pin, wire the second Y to its own pin, e-stop to a pin, and the touch plate to a pin (that's all 5)...when the Y is homed, it will use the XYZ Y pin, then use the extra Y to home the other side (slaved axis), did not quite understand this (it drives both motors to the initial switch, then only the second motor, which should just be off of the second switch?!?), anyway I got to this part in the manual (see attachment), and according to it, I can set it up like I have it now, using one Y switch to home both axis's?!?
