General Mach Discussion / GCode window

My Gcode window always has a lot of white space "above" the first line...thought it might be my post processor, but when I look at the text, the code starts on the first line...is there a setting in Mach3 that is contolling this, or is this just the way the GCode window works.

I had hacked a different way to make the button call the script, but your method is much cleaner and easier to understand!
Checked to continuity on my Makita router and it is insulated...

Nice video John! I like your machine...it looks like it is built like a CNC Plasma (using the metal vgroove wheels and angle iron for track)...I was spying on your machine and noticed the carriage seems to be using the lower horizontal leg of the angle iron for the hold down (no "lower" angle on the bootom of the carriage)...I have not seen a setup like this before...I assume it is sturdy, as the overall machine looks pretty stout!

Another question...how is your router bit "attached" to the other en of the touch plate? On my setup, I have to put an alligator on the bit, to complete the circuit with the touch plate.

Found the answer...for those that don't know...must have the Jog On/Off button on every screen!

Hmmmm....can I put it on the persitant screen for the same effect?

Mach Screens / Jogging during pause

Created my first screen from scratch and the jog behavior is a little different, I must be missing something...

When I pause a cut, with my new screen, I am not able to jog, using the same profile and switching to the 1024 set, it behaves as expected, that is I can jog, say for a tool change, and when I cycle start again, it goes to the correct place and resumes the cut.

I thought all "settings" were saved in the profile? Don't know what I am missing...probably something simple!

Machscreen Screen Designer / Image issues

Posted elsewhere so sorry for the duplicate...

I am new to screen design...I created a few boxes on a colored background (1024X768) in Paint Shop Pro...I saved the image as a .png file and placed in the bitmap directory of the screenset I am modifying. Using MachScreen, when I try to add as an image, it does not show up in the file listing, I have verified that it is there, it just does n't show up to select?

Any thoughts?

Update...I used realdraw pro to create a couple of small button type files, they are in the proer directory, but MachScreen does not show them in the files browser box to add them to the page...I am using Win7pro and saved the files as .png

Mach Screens / Screen4 Strange behaviour

Have tried using Screen4 a few times...When I click File, to open a file, it takes about 3 minutes to get the open file dialog box, has anyone run across this before? THis makes it darn near unusable...it has been a while since I used it, but I remember that once I got a screen set loaded, it behaved as expected...I am running Win7 Pro and have the latest versions of screen 4 from the website
